Pétanque at the Nightingale!

Our Story

At The Strines Nightingale, we are passionate about providing our customers with delicious food and refreshing drinks in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Our pub has been a staple in the community for over 20 years, and we take pride in serving our loyal customers and welcoming new ones with open arms.

Yes, we have a good sized outdoor patio area where you can view the game in play, and some seating at the side of court. 

On busy sunny days we have the outdoor bar open. We also have permanent outside toilet facilities. Food & drinks can always be ordered via QR code and delivered directly to the court. 


PLEASE NOTE: The court may not be suitable for those with accessibility issues.


Our  current court is  12m X 3.5m. 

(a larger second court is planned for  summer 2026 )


Our boules come with the hire fee and are competition standard.
