Donations to the live music very much appreciated (and needed!) via
https://www.ticketweb.uk/venue/the-strines-nightingale-stockport/514805
All monies will be distributed directly to the artists.
As parking is limited we kindly ask you (if possible) to be as green as possible and consider walking - over Peak Forest Canal or via Roman Lakes perhaps - or use public transport such as the 358 Bus or the local train station ( Strines - 10 mins walk).
Flat shoes all day long. We have uneven paths and woodland walkways .
The main areas are easily accsessible, but certain areas will be hard to reach for those with mobility issues. We apologise in advance and will fix this long term.
Well behaved children are very welcome as always until 7pm.
Please be aware that we are not a normal kid friendly pub, in the sense we do not have a childrens play area, or even a specific childrens menu (small portions can be requested of course). It's more a grown up pub where supervised kids are welcome until 7pm.
Also - important to note - some areas of the pub have not been finished and will be cordened off . Also there are wild woods and a steep riverbank surrounding us which are certainly not safe for little explorers should they jump a fence etc.
We also request that while artists are playing we do not have children playing near the stages.
Essentially, we want to make you aware its currently not the sort of venue you can let your kids roam wild all day while you get nicely merry, and we would rather you knew that in advance! Apologies for any incovenience caused, we hope to be a more kid friendly space for the next Easter fesitval!
We are very much looking forward to showcasing the talents of a number of hard working local breweries in these difficult days for the industry.
As a result, we will be selling 90% locally sourced beers on all the pumps over the weekend, and not many mainstream national brands on draught. (some familiar bottles will be available )
Weather dependent we will have lots of food options (Pies, fries & flatbreads).
Nearly everything is Veggie friendly , with loads of Vegan and Gluten Free options.
